Hope you guys had a lovely Easter break! I spent mine at home in Ireland for a well earned rest. I managed to get a whole week at home for once thanks to the perks of working for a university - extra holidays! I spent the week running around meeting up with different friends and family each day, which was lovely, but exhausting!
On Good Friday we decided to take a mini road trip to somewhere we hadn't been in Ireland before. Top of our list was Father Ted's parochial house, but unfortunately it wasn't open over Easter. So as a last minute back up plan we took off for Muckross House in Co. Kerry which was where we took these photos. I was driving so appropriate shoes were a must! Can't go wrong with a classic black Blazer, on your feet or otherwise.
This was also a good chance to break out my Michael Kors bag, which I bought loving the colour, and then later realised how very patriotic it was. I was running out of the house wearing my orange jumper, grabbed the bag and thankfully noticed I was a walking Irish flag, so quickly changed for this Cos square tee instead.
Muckross House is a large estate in Killarney National Park with gardens, and walks through the woods around Muckross lake, so it was a lovely spot for a grand stretch. ...Too Irish?
Irish things, this way!
I always knew she was tall, but it looks like Julie is 3 metres. Majority of that is hair I'd say.
Photos inside the house we not allowed (even without flash for unknown reasons) but I secretly snapped the kitchen because holy hearth that's how a stove should look! I'll have one of those in my dream house thanks.
The view from the upstairs bedroom is really quite lovely, mainly because we caught Ireland on a nice day. Also the graffiti in the servants quarters I'm going to assume is authentic, right?
