I have no photos of Hot Water Beach as I was too busy lazing about in a hole in the sand spa with some American guys. You can forgive my distraction. Basically you head to the beach at low tide, dig a hole near the special spot where the boiling river flows beneath and boom, you've made you own hot tub! The water was so hot we had to bring buckets of cold water up from the sea just so the water was tolerable. It was a sad moment when the tide came in too far and cold water rushed into our sand pit/hot tub. Afterwards we hiked up to Cathedral Cove to check out the rock arches which were cool, and very pretty, but the water was cold! And it probably took about 20 minutes to even get a photo of the archway with no one in it. Damn tourists.
